Meet The Founder...

Belknap Heating and Cooling Company was founded by Warren Belknap in 1978.

Mr. Belknap worked at R.J.Reis Heating Company from 1949 to 1967. During his stay at Reis, he went from a hourly worker to salesman with his specialty being in hot water systems, sales and service. Eventually he was promoted to Vice President. In 1968 when the Reis Company went through reorganization, Mr. Belknap opted to leave. He subsequently joined the R.E. Wardour Heating Company in Lockport. He brought with him a valued customer base and his knowledge in Hydronic Heating Systems. At that time the name was changed to Wardour/Belknap. In 1978 R.E.Wardour left and the company's name was changed to Warren Belknap Heating and Cooling Co. The company relocated to our present location at 6585 Transit Rd. East Amherst in January 1978.

Mr. Gary Gorenflo joined the company in 1977 as a Service Technician and was appointed Service Manager in 1979. In 1982, Gary became Operations Manager and worked in that capacity until March 1987, when he was appointed Vice President. Gary Gorenflo became President in December 1987. Mr. Belknap retired March 31, 1990 at which time Mr. Gorenflo undertook ownership of Belknap Heating and Cooling Co. Inc.
